AI Traffic Safety Intervention
The demonstration aims to address issues related to traffic safety, and safety intervention for traffic engineering. The demonstration should show how smart technology can reduce congestion, decrease accidents, and improve the overall efficiency of city intersections through the collection of data.
Data proven evidence can become invaluable for future traffic engineering and infrastructure planning, and provide cause to make adjustments to keep our residents and visitors safe.
Purpose:
Traffic Study with AI-driven analysis tools tolook at vehicle speed, trajectory, & stopping sight distance to determine near misses and other safety features.
Expected Outcomes:
- Micromobility & vehicle count
- Pedestrian crossing time
- Near-miss occurences & other safety analysis
This data will compliment an ongoing corridor study at this location.
